Reiki (RAE-KEY) is a light touch healing therapy that originated in Japan. It is a technique for stress reduction and relaxation that allows everyone to tap into an unlimited supply of "life force energy" to improve health and enhance the quality of life. Reiki is useful for self healing and for healing family and friends.

In this class you will:

• Learn the history of Usui Reiki
• Learn the uses of Reiki
• Learn the Reiki hand positions for healing
• Learn the Reiki hand positions for self healing
• Learn how move Reiki energy
• Experience a Reiki session

Victoria Hux, healthcare specialist and president of McLean Massage Therapy Center, specializes in Reiki treatments for cancer patients. She is a Reiki Master and certified teacher. Victoria is also certified by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork; the Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Health Professions, Board of Nursing; and the Fairfax County Consumer Protection Division. She holds a master’s degree in public health from the Johns Hopkins University School of Public Health.

Reiki II Class

Reiki (RAE-KEY) is a light touch healing therapy that originated in Japan. It is a technique for stress reduction and relaxation that allows everyone to tap into an unlimited supply of "life force energy" to improve health and enhance the quality of life. Reiki II is useful for individuals who are interested in increasing their access to Reiki energy and who are interested in using Reiki on others.

In this class you will:

• Learn additional uses of Reiki
• Learn three Reiki symbols for healing
• Learn distance Reiki
• Learn how increase Reiki energy
• Experience a Reiki session
